Somedays I sit back and think "is this worth it?". Photography is unpredictable. One event you'll make more than a week's wages at your full time job, other events you lose money and will not sell one photo. "What do you have in it?" people ask. Time, lots and lots of time, fuel to drive hours away, equipment that I carry insurance on because the sand is so damaging, sometimes repairs (even with insurance there is a deducable), food, drinks, and a full day and several nights dedicated to editing every single photo, Oh, and 2 years of becoming a certified Professional Photographer so I can do my best for my clients. So needless to say we lose more then we win. Why keep doing it? you ask. The people, Meeting new people, hearing their stories about how special their animal is to them, awnsering questions about photography, and seeing the comments and smiles on everyones face when they see me making a fool of myself, and because of this photo right here! This is what makes it worth getting sandy/dirty, laying on the ground in bugs, getting burnt and fegtigued by laying in the direct sun for 8 hours. It's photos and events like this that make it "So Worth It"
